Not Knowing

So many people are comfortable with not knowing how things work but having a full bodied opinion on it. It is okay to have thoughts on something unknown. That is not what this post is about. This is about people being stuck in their ways with refusing to learn how something works but deeply is passionate in whatever it is they share this opinion on.

People often talk about politics and how things cannot change. People often talk about sports and how they are rigged. People often talk about a vast amount of topics and have no clue how any of it really works, and refuse to learn.

It is truly sad that people refuse to have depth in their lives. I understand the reason behind so much of it but that does not make it easier to accept. Politics can be rigged, sports can be rigged, technology can be rigged, corporations can be rigged, everything CAN BE RIGGED. But knowing how it is rigged is important to learn. Many people have no clue how things work so ‘rigged’ is a catch-all that people use to describe things that they refuse to understand.

I hear certain things people say and I am often deflated because it shows the lack of curiosity in people. This is a major problem. That does not paint a flourishing future for us. Lack of curiosity is in the realm of rot. No true desire to explore, learn, grow, develop means often that stagnation is the result.

Sadly lack of curiosity does grow the wrong things in a society.
